[edit] How and Where to Find Specific Birds

[edit] California Thrasher

(courtesy Joe Morlan): Park at the west end of Sneath Lane and walk down the fire road past the gate until it starts to rise up the hill towards Sweeney Ridge.

There are often singing California Thrashers in this area and they are usually conspicuous early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

[edit] Yellow-Billed Magpie

Yellow-billed Magpie can be found in a number of places out in the hills in Santa Clara County. The area behind Ed Levin Park near Calaveras Reservoir has a number of families easily visible from Calveras, Felter and Marsh roads.
