Rarity: 1
Field Marks: normally seen with a blue Tilley's Hat, Canon IS binoculars and too much camera gear; look for the darkish plumage witwh gray streaks under the beak, a hefty body and dark eyerings.
Habitats: most commonly seen at Palo Alto Baylands, Sunnyvale Water Control Plant, Shoreline Lake area, and Fitzgerald Marine Reserve
Vocalizations: "Man, I just can't place it" and "House Finch? Really?"
