Welcome to SiliconValleyBirders, your online resource to birdwatching in Silicon Valley. This site contains information about birdwatching in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties in California.

This site is a companion to our birdwatching mailing lists, South-Bay-Birds for Santa Clara County, and peninsula-birding for San Mateo County. If you're interested in birdwatching in these areas, you really should be subscribed to the list. We also have one other list, SBB-BirdPhotography for the active population of bird photographers that live here in Silicon Valley.

This site and the mailing lists are not affiliated with Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society (| http://www.scvas.org), but we strongly support the organization and encourage everyone interested in birdwatching in the area to join up. A percentage of profits generated by this site will be donated back to the organization to support its operations.

This site is built using MediaWiki, which is a system designed to allow users to work together to add content and improve the information contained here. Please consider creating an account and helping us make this site better by adding your knowledge to it for everyone to use.
